Music Monday - The Honey Trees

I forget who's blog I was reading when I found The Honey Trees...but I'm so glad I heard of them. They're on my ultimate work playlist and my super chill playlist ^_^ So I pretty much listen to at least one of their songs once a day. I hope you like them!

Self Portraits - March 12-17

So I didn't do a self portrait last Sunday, but on Monday I started using a new sketchbook. My new moleskine with watercolor paper is 100000x better than the thin, bleedy paper of my other book. I'm really happy with how the colors turned out ^_^ I'm also having a lot more fun telling a little story with each day...just little representations of what the day was like. It's like a mini diary.

We Love Our Holga

More honeymoon pics! But these were taken with our Holga. We bought it at a camera shop in downtown Santa Fe and between it and our Lomo, we shot a few rolls ^_^ We took some at Whiterock and downtown and all over really.

It was so nice to hear the click and advance the film manually. There's something so fun about finishing a roll. I mean I'll still instagram all day long, but I think everyone should have an appreciation for manual cameras.

Music Monday & Self Portrait

So Andy got me the cutest Hello Kitty iPod speaker (it's her head!!!) for Valentine's Day and I put it in the bathroom so I could have some tunes in the shower. It's pretty much the best thing. I started this Monday with the Yeah Yeah Yeahs...cuz I needed something awesome to take my mind off the fact that I lost and hour of my weekend to Ben Franklin.

I'm also playing around with different paper for my daily sketches and I kind of love Moleskine's watercolor paper. The sketchbook I'd been using had such thin paper almost everything would bleed. Anyway! I kind of love how this came out ^_^
